The tree is gone. Decide what happens to the footprint.
Stump grinding can make mowing easier, reduce a trip hazard, prepare an area for lawn restoration, or clean up the footprint after a removal. Depth and debris handling should be defined before the machine arrives.

WHAT STUMP GRINDING DOES — AND DOESN’T — MEAN
Grinding reduces the visible stump and upper root flare to the agreed depth. It is not the same as excavating the entire root system. Large lateral roots may remain beyond the grinding area, and future planting directly in the old footprint may require additional soil preparation.
If the stump came from a recent Canopy Ridge removal, the grinding scope can be quoted with the removal so the finished condition is clear from the beginning.
